  1. Montane Hardwood Flooring does not provide any warranty for the products other than the manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty information for Chelsea Plank Flooring products can be found online at: https://www.chelseaplank.com/technical-information 

  2. Montane Hardwood Flooring is not responsible for installing the products and shall have no liability for any damage to the products or any other property, person or otherwise caused during the installation of the products. Any guidelines or instructions provided in relation to installation constitute a manufacturer’s guide only. Products should only be installed by an appropriately skilled flooring professional.

  3. Unless otherwise arranged, all products are delivered to the curb of the jobsite. It is the customer’s responsibility to move the products to a protected location immediately upon delivery. Hardwood floors must be stored in the areas to be installed prior to installation to allow for acclimation. Temperature and humidity must be maintained within the manufacturer’s specifications during acclimation, installation, and after installation. Failure to maintain proper temperature and humidity may cause permanent damage to flooring. Customer shall be responsible for damage to flooring caused by Customer’s failure to maintain proper temperature and humidity for the flooring within the manufacturer’s specifications during acclimation, installation, and after installation.

  4. Montane Hardwood Flooring is not responsible for delays in manufacturing or shipping, or damage to products in transit. Flooring should be inspected immediately upon delivery and any damage to the boxes or products therein should be documented and submitted promptly to the shipper.

  5. It is possible a single job can contain flooring from two or more runs or lots. As different batches of lumber will contain different amounts of character and/or color within the same grade, different lots may contain varying concentrations of color and/or character. When an installation includes multiple lot numbers, it is imperative the installer verify the different lot numbers will blend harmoniously, prior to installation. 

  6. Due to the variable nature of hardwood flooring products, the customer accepts that the product delivered may vary from any samples they previously viewed, whether in person or online. Customer recognizes that color matching to samples will vary from dye lot to dye lot, and that hardwoods are natural materials that will have color variations (including but not limited to variations between heartwood and sapwood, mineral streaks, and variations in the grain). Customer acknowledges that subtle variations in color and surface texture may not be fully revealed when viewing products from a computer or other electronic device, and that actual products colors may vary from those depicted on a computer or other electronic device. Accordingly, customer agrees to assume the risk of minor color or textural variations in the materials.

  7. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the products are maintained according to the manufacturer’s recommendations after installation. Floor Care and Cleaning Guide can be found at: https://www.chelseaplank.com/technical-information 

  8. Upon executing the invoice and paying the deposit, no further changes can be made to the order. If additional materials are needed, a separate order may be placed. Products are not eligible for return or exchange.
